Barbara’s background lies mainly in physical and mechanical engineering disciplines, although she has also has experience in working with subject matter in the electronics and software fields. Since entering the patent profession, Barbara has focused her energies on the healthcare sector, developing an enthusiasm for a wide variety of medical technologies. Over the past 5 years, she has acquired extensive knowledge relating to surgical devices, medical implants, drug delivery systems and diagnostic instruments. Barbara also has broad experience working with consumer goods, optics, microfluidics, military technologies, industrial mixing and more. She has experience with and enjoys advising single inventors, SMEs and multinational companies.
Before entering the patent profession in 2012, Barbara graduated in physics from the University of Bristol. She then spent four years working in private practice at a London firm. As part of her training in London, Barbara attended Queen Mary University of London and was awarded a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law (achieving a Distinction).
