Letícia joined NLO in December 2017.
Letícia specialises in pharmacy, food technology and chemistry.
Letícia earned a Pharmacy degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Belo Horizonte, Brazil (2006-2011). She went on to specialise in Pharmaceutical Sciences by completing a MSc programme at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) in Munich, Germany (2011-2013). She completed her master’s thesis on ratiometric pH-sensitive gelatin nanoparticles for direct cellular uptake monitoring in collaboration with the Comprehensive Pneumology Center of the Helmholtz Zentrum München in Munich, Germany. She subsequently wrote her PhD thesis at the LMU’s Pharmaceutical Technology group. While conducting a project on new vaccine formulations based on internally structured nanoparticles, she had the opportunity to gain experience with in vitro and in vivo studies at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark and at Umeå University in Sweden.
