Suzanne joined NLO in January 2018.

Suzanne has a background in biomedical sciences, medicine, pharmaceutics and business. She has expertise in a broad range of fields, including immunology, molecular cell biology, pharmaceutical formulation, lab techniques and cancer biology, as well as  finance, entrepreneurship and pharmaceutical start-ups.

Suzanne earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Amsterdam University College in 2015, after having completed the honours programme Liberal Arts and Sciences (with honours) with a specialisation in biomedical sciences/medicine. In the same year, she set off for London to take a one-year Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Formulation and Entrepreneurship at University College London.

Her bachelor’s thesis concerned cancer immunotherapy and she expanded on this topic in her master’s thesis, which was separated into two interrelated projects, i.e. a lab project and a business case analysis. In the lab project she researched a potential candidate for a therapeutic cancer vaccine and in the business case analysis she explored whether further development of the vaccine was  financially feasible.
