Dutch and European patent attorney
Shiri joined NLO in 2013.
Shiri specialises in chemistry and life sciences. Her work is particularly focused on protecting innovations related to consumer goods, nutrition, nutraceuticals, medical nutrition, food ingredients and food technology.
Shiri has an MSc in chemistry (cum laude), specialising in physical sciences (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, 2010). She also followed extracurricular study programmes in management, entrepreneurship and policy, wherein she focused on IP and business strategies for R&D innovation in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. Her graduation thesis was awarded the Unilever Research Prize 2010.
At age 23, Shiri achieved a PhD in chemistry (cum laude) from the École Normale Supérieure in Lyon, France (2013) where, as a part of a European network for cutting-edge science, Shiri has performed research in the field of nanotechnology.
Shiri is actively involved in the Dutch IP-branch as president of the Dutch Association of Young Patent Attorneys.
Shiri authored and co-authored various academic publications in international high impact journals. Shiri also published articles on IP for IAM magazine.
