My PhD research focused on sustainable fermentative production of biofuels. I used modern metabolic engineering techniques to generate superior yeast strains able to produce more ethanol from less sugar.
Before joining NLO, I conducted R&D at DSM. While there, I worked at the interface between genetics and fermentation technology to translate business needs into optimal designs for maximisation of industrial bioprocess performance. My own inventions introduced me to the world of intellectual property and made me realise the importance of safeguarding innovation. At NLO, I am uniquely positioned to help others protect their own exciting ideas.
I am (co)author of multiple scientific publications and (co)inventor in multiple patent applications. For a complete list, please visit my LinkedIn profile.
