Prior to joining NLO, I was a PhD student at Radboud University Nijmegen, in the field of condensed matter physics. My research projects ranged from studying field-effect transistors, to detecting unconventional magnetism.
Besides my own PhD research, I was also involved in providing services to external (international) researchers, tailoring and performing challenging experiments to their needs. Combining this with my technical background, it gave me a strong foundation to enter the IP sector. My time at NLO has been a big learning curve thus far, and with further training, I aim to qualify as a European patent attorney, providing my clients with finest protection available for their invention.
Outside the office, I like to put the rest of my efforts onto the rugby pitch for the local club.
