My work focuses specifically on inventions in the electrical engineering, signal processing and mechanical engineering sectors. I have wide-ranging experience in computer and communication systems, mobile telephony, image processing, electromagnetic and electromechanical technology (including electron-beam lithography, optical sensors, radio, radar and MEMS), medical physics and ultrasound.
After a degree in physics I worked as a researcher and adviser at TNO (the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research), specializing in signal processing and electromechanical effects. Having completed training as a Dutch and European patent attorney I worked for an international law firm, where I gained broad-ranging knowledge of patent litigation and IP protection strategies.
Away from work I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children, as well as playing rock guitar.
