Stefanie Lewis

Trainee patent attorney
I am a patent attorney trainee at NLO, working primarily in the field of electronics, telecommunications and software. In addition to working towards my European qualification, I am a part-qualified UK patent attorney.

Expertise

  • Computers/Software
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Energy
  • Physics
  • Telecommunications

I understand that the process of applying for a patent is long, arduous and often daunting, and every client has individual needs and preferences. I work hard to tailor my advice based on the interests of the client. Communication is important during the process and I endeavour to keep clients apprised of their application and informed of any developments.

I work hard to tailor my advice based on the interests of the client.

Prior to joining the patent industry, I worked in the field of software development and scientific computing. I explored the uses of Big Data and associated infrastructure for social science research, in particular relating to the quantitative analysis of large and complex datasets for social applications. I also have experience in experimental nuclear physics research, and have been a member of large international research collaborations.
