Effective IP protection is extremely important for business continuity. And as a trademark attorney I enjoy playing a part in this. As well as providing my clients with directly applicable advice, I make their lives easier by taking on responsibility for registering, managing and defending their IP portfolios.
After having obtained a law degree at Leiden University I first worked at another intellectual property advisory firm. I then joined NLO Shieldmark in 2010 and have enjoyed working here ever since. As well as working as a trademark attorney I am actively involved in the Benelux association for Trademark- and Designlaw (and for several years was a member of its editorial committee. I am currently a member of the Platform Formalities Officers’ exam committee.
When I’m not at work I enjoy sailing, travelling, gardening and socializing with friends and family.
