NLO has been operating from its branch in Zwijnaarde, Ghent, since 2015. In 2018, a second location was opened in the centre of Mechelen. Brigou's arrival gives a boost to the strength and expertise of the Belgian team.
On his plans and goals at NLO, Brigou says: "With the launch of my new, multidisciplinary team, NLO will be able to offer unique services in Belgium and ensure our leading position in the IP market. By combining the unique expertise of chemistry, physics, engineering, sensoring & AI in a single team, we are exceptionally well placed to support our customers in the challenges of the future, in addition to the traditional technical domains. Think smart factories, AI-controlled measuring and control techniques, smart formulations for crop protection or fertilisation, etc. The launch of a new ‘smart’ product today often involves complexity in multiple dimensions as companies have to deal with both patents for mechanical design, chemical reactions or material properties, as well as smart control. We offer a solution for complex puzzles of this kind.
