IP consultancy firm NLO strengthens growth with arrival of Ben Brigou

Ghent, 27 December 2021 - NLO bv, the legal consultancy for Intellectual Property, will be strengthened as of 1 January 2022 with the arrival of Dutch and European patent attorney Ben Brigou. Brigou leads a multidisciplinary team of 5 patent attorneys from NLO's Mechelen office. He is committed to the solid growth ambitions NLO has for the Belgian market, with the firm wanting to grow into a top player in the Belgian market in the coming years.

Ben Brigou -

NLO has been operating from its branch in Zwijnaarde, Ghent, since 2015. In 2018, a second location was opened in the centre of Mechelen. Brigou's arrival gives a boost to the strength and expertise of the Belgian team.

On his plans and goals at NLO, Brigou says: "With the launch of my new, multidisciplinary team, NLO will be able to offer unique services in Belgium and ensure our leading position in the IP market. About Ben Brigou

Ben Brigou is a chemist with extensive experience as a patent attorney in the pharma, chemical, food, feed & agri sectors. During the past year and a half, he worked as an Intellectual Asset Manager for the publicly listed Tessenderlo Group, where he was responsible for the patent portfolio of several business units active in chemistry, agriculture and industrial solutions (mining, plastic sewer pipes & fittings). Brigou was previously employed at NLO during 2016-2020, where he also completed his professional training as a patent attorney. Before that, Brigou worked in the Global Regulatory Affairs organisation of a pharmaceutical player and as a researcher in computational chemistry. He is co-author of the recent second edition of the leading ‘SPC Handbook’ (Stief, 2021).
