As a member of the management team, it's now my turn to write a foreword to Fortify. Since you may not know me yet, I'll briefly introduce myself. Since November 2015 I’ve been Managing Director at NLO and NLO Shieldmark. I was especially attracted to this position by the high level of ambition in this office, where everybody is pulling out all the stops to be a top unit, both now and in the future.
And I'm fascinated by all the different issues that you, our clients, are dealing with. Plus the many exciting changes that are linked to them. This edition of Fortify, for example, contains an item about a pair of glasses which can change our biological clock. And another about the rapid innovations that are making it easier for cyber-criminals to hack into systems.
There's a lot happening at NLO too. For instance, we've just taken on seven talented trainees in the wake of a successful recruitment campaign. These young people will bring new insights and energy to our office, which will be marking its 130th anniversary in 2018. We're still on top of innovation and change after all this time, thanks to our clients, suppliers and staff.
An anniversary milestone is a good time to indulge in a little self-reflection, to look at your assets and consider what it is that makes you so special. In our case, it's very definitely the people who work for us. They are the human dimension of our office and of course of our partnership with you. That's why we'll be making an extra effort to put them in the spotlight in this special year.
