My background is in biomedical sciences, focusing on food technology. This experience is put to good use in René van Duijvenbode’s team in The Hague, where I have been working as a trainee patent attorney since 2015.

    After studying biomedical sciences at Leiden University, I completed a PhD at Leiden University Medical Centre, focusing on metabolic aspects of cardiovascular diseases and the validation of antibody-conjugated MRI contrast agents. Following my academic career I moved to the intellectual property field where I initially gained experience in patent litigation cases.
