After studying biomedical sciences at Leiden University, I completed a PhD at Leiden University Medical Centre, focusing on metabolic aspects of cardiovascular diseases and the validation of antibody-conjugated MRI contrast agents. Following my academic career I moved to the intellectual property field where I initially gained experience in patent litigation cases.
