Mari Korsten

Partner & Dutch and European patent attorney
I have worked at several international (lawyers) offices and in-house at Novartis in Switzerland. I am often involved in patent litigation cases at the courts in the Netherlands and Belgium. In addition, I regularly act in opposition proceedings at the European Patent Office and I help life-science companies to prepare and implement their patent strategy.

I joined NLO as a partner in 2011. Previously, I worked as a Dutch and European patent attorney at Novartis Pharma in Switzerland, where I was responsible for the specialty products portfolio and litigation. After returning to the Netherlands, I joined Bird & Bird in The Hague where I handled oppositions and court proceedings on behalf of pharmaceutical and chemical clients.
