I am client focused and enjoy actively listening to the needs of my clients and offer pro-active solutions. I write and defend patent applications and advise on infringement and freedom to operate. In addition to my day-to-day work as a patent attorney, I’m actively involved in the in-house training for trainee attorneys.
After completing a PhD on cancer and gene therapy, I spent several years working as a postdoctoral research associate in the US. I have extensive expertise in deep-sequencing, genomics, oncology, gene editing and plant biology. Working as a research scientist at a biotechnology company in Utrecht I realised that a strong IP portfolio can be vital for business. I therefore enjoy helping my clients to build a strong, valuable patent portfolio.
