My academic journey in chemistry started at the University of Warwick, where I pursued an integrated master’s degree in chemistry. During this time, I focused on multiple disciplines spanning organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry. As part of my industrial placement, I spent one year in the Netherlands at a large materials science company working on the development of biodegradable polymer alternatives to commercial products. I also spent six months at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore on an international placement developing perovskite-based catalysts. During my master’s project, I worked on the development of sustainable polymers through anionic polymerisation, creating a novel replacement for certain harmful chemicals found in personal care products.
Following graduation, I returned to the materials science company, where I developed sustainable polymers for agricultural solutions. During this time, I was fortunate enough to lead projects and learn about the development phases required to bring a project from feasibility to launch. This experience gave me insight into the IP processes needed for projects to succeed in industry. Through my time in industry, I also developed skills in internal and external stakeholder management, client and customer relationships, experimental design, and analytical problem solving.
With these skillsets, I hope to provide strategic guidance and services to deliver client‑centric solutions.
