Trademark and design attorney, what’s that?

As a trademark and design attorney, you work for clients who are constantly innovating, strengthening their position on the market and expanding their trademark and design portfolios. You advise clients about registering trademarks and designs, you manage their portfolios and act in the case of trademark or design infringements.

What will you be doing?

The protection of trademarks and designs is an important part of a company’s success. The attorneys at NLO Shieldmark advise their clients and act as sparring partners. You support the trademark or design throughout its life, from the availability search and registration to its enforcement. Is a client involved in a conflict? You are the first point of contact, you draw up the summons and manage negotiations. NLO Shieldmark works for big multinationals, but also supports the trademarks and designs of small companies and start-ups. The variety of clients and advice makes your work diverse and concrete.

Combining theory and practice

Our attorneys work in teams. These compact teams consist of senior, medior and junior attorneys. You are partnered with an experienced attorney and immediately thrown in at the deep end. In addition, you will soon run your own practice with your own clients. Obviously, you will receive intensive coaching. You will also follow the external professional training to become a fully qualified Benelux Trademark and Design Attorney. By working alongside legal colleagues and patent attorneys at NLO, you will develop into an all-round attorney and IP advisor.
