My strength as a Dutch and European patent attorney is that I quickly explore and integrate IP information to deliver a clear perspective on the options for the client. In doing so, I provide IP solutions to meet their needs to protect their innovative products and their business strategy. Before taking a position with NLO, I spent several years working as a patent attorney at another law firm and as in-house patent attorney at Océ (now part of Canon) in the Netherlands.

My position at NLO is in the Chemistry and Pharmaceutical department. In my previous job at another law firm, I handled patent proceedings and provided IP advice for pharmaceutical companies and chemical clients. Before that, as an in-house patent attorney at Océ (part of Canon), I was responsible for a specific part of the patent portfolio, predominantly relating to printing technology applications.

I enjoy delivering the best strategic patent advice to my clients by investing in the relationship, understanding their business strategy, and finding creative solutions for the IP needs at hand. My approach involves acting as a pro-active partner to my client, identifying and delivering the best possible solutions. I like to work in an organised and meticulous way and to be decisive in my advice.
