NLO seminar US Patents and Innovation box

On Thursday June 1st NLO hosts a seminar. The afternoon is dedicated to two interesting topics; building a strong patent portfolio in the US and tax-related issues such as the Innovation box and WSBO. Full programme, see below.

Building a strong US Patent portfolio

During an informative and interactive session NLO’s US patent attorney Catherine Shultz and ex-USPTO examiner and patent agent Minerva Rivero, share their knowledge and tips with you on building a stronger patent portfolio in the United States (US). European and US patent law differ and the strength of your portfolio depends on a clear recognition of these differences.

Innovation box and WSBO

After the break, tax specialist Peter van de Belt of PNO Consultants will discuss the ‘Innovation box’; a tax-based, fiscal instrument to support innovation for medium and large Dutch companies. He will also shed light on the R&D Tax credit (WSBO) an income tax instrument related to salaries for R&D employees, which may be an asset to benefit from the Innovation box.
