NLO appoints five new Associate Partners
NLO has appointed patent attorneys Marta Alvarez Guede, Aleidus van ‘t Hof, Willem Niesing and Willemijn Gommans and trademark and design attorney Peter Simonis as Associate Partners with effect from 1 January 2020. The appointment of five Associate Partners marks a unique event in the firm’s more than 130-year history. It reflects the firm’s successful growth of recent years and the ambition to remain at the vanguard of a fast-growing market.
René van Duijvenbode, Managing Partner, said: “Associate Partners are very important to our firm. They lead teams, manage key accounts and mentor junior attorneys. The partners in NLO see a lot of potential in this group of talented Associate Partners. Over the past few years, each of them has earned a strong track record in their respective fields of expertise and they have all successfully built their own practice. The five new Associate Partners are:
- Marta Alvarez Guede, European patent attorney
- Willemijn Gommans, Dutch and European patent attorney
- Aleidus van ‘t Hof, Dutch and European patent attorney
- Willem Niesing, Dutch and European patent attorney
- Peter Simonis, Benelux and European trademark and design attorney
