Ans joined NLO in 2017.
Ans specialises in life sciences and biotechnology, particularly in the field of immunology, vaccinology and immunotherapy and has experience with nucleic acid and peptide-based vaccines.
Ans graduated in Biochemistry and Biotechnology (University of Ghent, 2012). As a plant biotechnologist, she wrote a master thesis on molecular farming, focusing on the production of recombinant antibodies in plants. After graduating, she embarked on a PhD at the University of Ghent where she elaborated on the design of new strategies for improved delivery and efficacy of vaccines. She has (co) written multiple peer reviewed scientific publications in international high impact journals.
